- Because our sourdough starter is freeze-dried, it is extremely shelf-stable. In ideal storage conditions, the actual shelf life is up to 25 years. However, to be conservative and ensure best quality for our customers, we officially state a 5-year shelf life.
At Rustic Roots, we do one thing and one thing only. By limiting what we do, our focus stays on what we do best, sourdough starter! Made from organic, non GMO flour & filtered water. That's it.
