This custom facial serum is lovely blend of luxurious oils, extracts and essential oils that are extra nourishing for your face. I designed this serum for mature/dry/aging skin! Heck at 49 years of age even I needed something and this is it! Let's talk about some of the serum's ingredients. If you are like me I prefer to know exactly what is going on my face.
Frankincense essential oil is a natural astringent that also helps regenerate healthy skin cells and keep existing tissue healthy and strong. For thousands of years people have used frankincense to lift, tone, tighten their skin, prevent wrinkles, reduce dark spots, heal and prevent acne, and more. No wonder queens of years past used to bathe in all forms of this amazing herb! Let's also not forget that it was one of the gifts given to baby Jesus from the Three Wise Men. I love it so much I named my serum after it!
Rosehip seed oil has been known to be cell and tissue generating, moisturizing, hydrating, revitalizing, good for mature skin and sensitive skin and can help lighten dark spots. It is high in Vitamin A which is a natural retinol. This oil contains essential fatty acids which makes it a great emollient for dry or mature skin and is very hydrating. Rosehip is considered a "dry" oil, meaning it soaks into the skin easily and does not leave a greasy residue.
Meadowfoam seed oil contains Vitamin E and tocopherol; compounds which actively keep your skin hydrated and properly moisturized. Since the oil acts at very profound levels, the nutrients sink in deeply and help keep your skin youthful for a longer period of time. It helps your skin to effectively form a barrier to lock in moisture and deliver nutrients deep into your epidermis. You will also find this amazing oil in our whipped body butters too!
Evening Primrose Extract soothes and moisturizes the skin. It promotes a healthy, clear, rejuvenated complexion with enhanced radiance and addresses roughness, wrinkles, redness, dryness, and irritation. This helps soothe my redness so much!
Unrefined hemp seed oil works to reduce irritation when applied topically to the skin because of nutrients like linoleic acid that enable the skin cells to repair and regenerate. These nourishing components are also responsible for the ability of hemp oil to moisturize the skin without clogging pores. Because of this, hemp seed oil can be used to alleviate acne prone skin by moderating its oil production and reducing the chance of clogged pores. Hemp oil can also be ingested for skin health benefits thanks to the gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) that aids with inflammation and skin growth.
Olive oil squalane balances oil production, providing just enough moisture to keep the skin clear and healthy. This oil also has powerful anti-aging properties and will help the skin age gracefully as well as anti-inflammatory benefits to help with skin conditions such as acne and eczema.
The high vitamin E content in hazelnut oil can help to increase hydration in the outermost layer of the skin. By keeping skin hydrated, vitamin E also helps improve skin elasticity, making it look firm and supple. Hazelnut oil is mild and safe for even sensitive skin.
Argan oil falls in the middle of the oil spectrum—it's not too heavy, not too light—making it perfect to use on all skin types. It's packed with omega fatty acids, vitamin E, and linoleic acids, all of which work to lightly moisturize your skin, soften dry patches, and even reduce acne.
Directions for use: Cleanse and tone face & neck. Place a pea-sized amount of the serum onto fingertips. Warm the serum between your hands and spread lightly over face and neck. Follow with moisturizer and sunscreen daily. Discontinue if irritation or rash develop.
