Our soap-based solid shampoo bars are made from all-natural organic ingredients and USDA certified organic essential oils. Wash your hair and nourish it at the same time!
Traditional hair conditioner may not be necessary after using this bar and I prefer to follow my shampoo with a dilute apple cider vinegar rinse. I love this shampoo bar so much I created an entire blog post about it! I highly recommend reading the blog post to learn all the tips and tricks involved with transitioning to a natural shampoo soap bar and how to make your own apple cider vinegar hair rinse!
These bars generally work really well if you have dandruff, as they don’t contain sulphates, silicone or harsh surfactants which can irritate and dry out the scalp. The bars are large so I recommend cutting them in half and tucking one away to take on camping trips, hotel stays or air travel.
Your hair may need to adjust to these bars as they are different than the normal liquid shampoo your hair may be used to. This transition phase can take anywhere from one to eight weeks as your hair adjusts and the natural oils balance out. It is normal to experience lank, heavy, slightly greasy hair at first. My own personal experience was that it took 2 weeks for my hair to become free of the residual chemicals, gums, thickeners and silicones that most commercial products contain! Results will vary from person to person. If you find this completely natural type of shampoo is not for you please feel free try one of our syndet bars! Made with mild synthetic detergents many people enjoy the solid syndet bars as well!
