Even with a healthy diet, it is very easy to be deficient in magnesium. Oral magnesium intake can be irritating to the stomach and occasionally have a laxative effect. Topical application of magnesium is more easily tolerated.

A tingling sensation is normal when you first begin using magnesium oil but will subside with use as your body adjusts. If the tingling is bothersome feel free to rinse off the magnesium oil after 20 minutes. I have found that 3-5 sprays applied to the bottom of my feet and massaged in nightly has been the best process. I also don socks to prevent the oil from getting on the bed linens. You can also spray the oil directly on your legs and massage it in as needed. If you find you begin to get dry skin in the areas where you are spraying the oil, alternate the location or decrease your use to every other day or every third day as needed.
Discontinue if rash or irritation occur.
