Conventional hair ties have plastic in them. I was not aware of this until I started my low waste journey! Each year millions of hair ties get lost and end up in the sea breaking down into micro plastics or they end up in landfills. There are possibly billions of lost unused hair ties on Earth!
There is a sustainable fix to this problem. These hair ties are made from 100% natural materials; including the yarn! They are safe to compost at the end of their life, and by switching to these you can reduce the needless plastic waste created by conventional hairbands.
These ties are colored using eco dyes and they are 70% organic cotton with a 30% natural inner rubber sleeve. Utilizing sustainable rubber means more elasticity, more durability, no folding or wriggling, offering a high-end finish. They are 100% biodegradable and come three hair ties per pack. The color is black.
They come packaged in a 100% recycled unbleached kraft paper sleeve, printed with soy ink and is 100% recyclable.
Product care & end of life: At the natural end your hair ties life, they can be chopped up and added to home compost as ‘brown’ material.
