Jewelweed salve

Jewelweed is a plant native to North America and has been used for many years as a natural remedy for poison ivy and poison oak. This salve is a summer must have in the medicine cabinet. When applied topically it can help neutralize the urushiol oil in poison ivy, which causes the allergic reaction! If applied early enough after exposure it can prevent that reaction from even happening. I recommend washing with our jewelweed soap before AND after outdoor activities and applying the salve directly to any rashes or bug bites. I also like to recommend using a spoon to remove your salve from the tin to avoid contaminating your salve with your fingers.
